INDIAN RECIPE: Paneer Shahjani

Ingredients for Paneer Shahjani:

  • 100g oil

Paste ingredients (blend together)

  • ½ kg onions
  • ½ kg tomatoes
  • 20g cashew nuts
  • 50g garlic
  • 50g ginger
  • 200g paneer, cut into large cubes
  • 50g cream
  • 10g cardamom, crushed
  • 2g cinnamon, powder
  • 5g cloves, whole
  • Chilli powder, to taste
  • Salt, to taste

Directions for making Paneer Shahjani:

  1. 1. Heat oil in a frying pan and stir-fry the paste ingredients until the mixture is dark brown.

  2. Add the paneer cream, cardamom, cinnamon cloves and chilli powder.

  3. Stir fry for a minute over a medium fire and season to taste with the salt. Serve hot.
